Upgrading Your Plan
Only the workspace Owner can upgrade a plan. If you’re not the Owner, ask them to follow the steps below.1
Open Billing Settings
Go to Settings → Billing. You’ll see your current plan, next billing date, and a summary of your usage.
2
Click Upgrade
Click the Upgrade Plan button. A plan selection screen displays the available plans with feature highlights and pricing.
3
Choose a Plan
Select the plan you want to move to. You can toggle between monthly and annual billing — annual billing offers a discounted rate equivalent to two months free.
4
Enter Payment Details
Enter your credit or debit card details, or select a saved payment method if you’ve used one before. Zolt accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and all major debit cards. Payments are processed securely via Stripe.
5
Confirm the Upgrade
Review the order summary, including the charge amount and billing cycle start date, then click Confirm Upgrade. Your new plan activates immediately and you’ll receive an email receipt.
Managing Payment Methods
To add, update, or remove a payment method, go to Settings → Billing → Payment Methods.- Add a new card — click + Add Payment Method, enter your card details, and click Save. The new card is added to your account but does not become the default until you set it.
- Set a default — click Set as Default next to any saved card. Future subscription renewals and invoices will be charged to the default card.
- Remove a card — click Remove next to a card to delete it. You cannot remove your only payment method while on a paid plan; add a replacement first.
Zolt does not store raw card numbers. All payment data is tokenized and managed by Stripe in accordance with PCI-DSS compliance standards.
Invoices and Receipts
Every payment generates an invoice that you can download as a PDF for accounting or expense purposes. To access your invoices:- Go to Settings → Billing → Invoices
- Find the invoice by date or amount
- Click Download PDF to save it to your device
Canceling Your Subscription
To cancel your Zolt subscription, go to Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription. Follow the prompts to confirm cancellation. After cancellation:- Your workspace remains active and fully functional until the end of the current billing period
- At the end of the billing period, the workspace downgrades automatically to the Free plan
- All workspace data — projects, tasks, comments, and files — is retained for 30 days after the downgrade before any data that exceeds Free plan limits is removed
- You can reactivate your subscription at any time before or after the 30-day window
Only the workspace Owner can manage billing, upgrade or downgrade plans, and cancel the subscription. Admins can view billing information but cannot make changes.
