Before you can start managing projects in Zolt, you need an account that’s fully set up and secured. This page walks you through every step — from filling out the signup form to configuring your notification preferences and enabling two-factor authentication — so your account is ready to use and protected from the start.

Creating Your Account

1

Visit the Signup Page

Navigate to app.zolt.io/signup in your browser. You can also sign up with Google or GitHub (see Connecting a Social Login below) if you prefer not to create a separate password.
2

Fill Out the Registration Form

Enter the following details:
  • Full name — this appears on your profile and in task assignments
  • Work email address — used for login and notifications
  • Password — must be at least 10 characters and include a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols
Read and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then click Create Account.
3

Verify Your Email Address

Zolt sends a verification email to the address you provided. Open the email and click Verify Email. This link expires after 24 hours — if it expires, log in to your new account and click Resend Verification Email from the banner at the top of the screen.Once verified, you’re taken directly into the workspace setup flow.
If a teammate has already invited you to a Zolt workspace, you’ll receive a separate invitation email. Click Accept Invitation in that email to create your account and join their workspace directly — you won’t need to create a new workspace during setup.

Completing Your Profile

A complete profile helps your teammates recognize you and ensures Zolt delivers notifications at the right time and in the right format. To update your profile, click your avatar in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar and select Profile Settings.
  • Avatar — Upload a photo or choose from Zolt’s default avatar set. Accepted formats are JPEG and PNG, up to 5 MB.
  • Display name — Change the name that appears on task cards, comments, and @mentions. This can differ from your account’s registered name.
  • Timezone — Select your local timezone from the dropdown. Zolt uses this to display due dates and schedule notification digests accurately.
  • Notification preferences — Choose how and when Zolt notifies you: in-app only, email digests (immediate, daily, or weekly), or both. You can also mute notifications for specific projects.

Password & Security

Keeping your Zolt account secure protects your team’s data and project history. Changing your password Go to Settings > Security and click Change Password. Enter your current password, then enter and confirm your new password. Click Save to apply the change. Zolt signs you out of all other active sessions automatically. Enabling two-factor authentication Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second verification step when you log in, significantly reducing the risk of unauthorized access. Zolt supports authenticator apps (such as Google Authenticator or Authy) and SMS-based verification. For a full walkthrough of enabling and managing 2FA, see the Security guide.

Connecting a Social Login

You can link your Zolt account to a Google or GitHub account so you can sign in with a single click, without entering a password each time. To connect a social login, go to Settings > Security and scroll to the Connected Accounts section. Click Connect Google or Connect GitHub, authorize the connection in the popup that appears, and confirm. Once linked, you can use either your email/password or the connected social login at the sign-in page. You can connect both providers simultaneously and disconnect either one at any time from the same settings panel.
